Problem
The old ERP system was slow, outdated, and difficult to use, causing significant challenges for the growing production demands. It was unable to handle the increasing volume of data, leading to inefficiencies, errors, and frustration for users. As the company expanded, the system became a bottleneck, hindering operational growth. It was clear that a redesign was needed to support the company’s future.
Process
The project involved a complete system redesign. I started by working closely with senior management to gather their specific needs and requirements. Then, I started user research, including interviews with employees who interacted with the system daily. Throughout the process, I implemented iterative testing and feedback loops to refine the system’s functionality.
Solution
We developed a streamlined, intuitive ERP system that simplified workflows and provided real-time access to important data through dashboards and grids. By modernizing the interface and optimizing performance, the system now enables users to manage production, sales, and customer data more effectively with fewer errors and faster response times.

Results
The redesigned ERP system led to significant improvements in the company’s day-to-day operations, such as faster data entry, improved decision-making due to real-time insights, and a notable reduction in user errors. Overall, the system’s performance and usability enhancements contributed to better efficiency, more accurate data management, and an overall boost in employee productivity.
Learnings
I sharpened my skills in creating efficient, user-friendly interfaces and learned how to handle complex data visualization in ways that make it easy for users to digest and act on information quickly. I also improved my ability to align with team decisions. The biggest challenge was ensuring the new design addressed the legacy system’s limitations while keeping it scalable for future growth.
